The State of the Hobby Roundtable
The Gearheads sat down with JF Launier, Erik Hansen and Tim Strange at the 71st Grand National Roadster Show to discuss the state of the hobby, and building cars to compete at the highest level. It’s an interesting look at the hobby from the perspectives of owner, builder and designer. We cover a lot of ground.

Stories N’ Steel: New Series Debuts
The Gearheads sit down to announce their all-new Amazon Prime Video series Stories N’ Steel, dropping this Black Friday. The guys explain what it’s like to self-produce a show, bringing the stories of the best builders, collectors and craftsmen to screen, and how it all ties together with the podcast. And Brad gets a new nickname.

A Well-Executed Fart: Steve Strope
Episode twenty-nine brings it all your way, courtesy of the very vocal and always insightful and entertaining Steve Strope of Pure Vision Design in Simi Valley, California. The guys talk vintage BMX bikes, bass guitar, reality TV and more. We get into the SEMA Show talk, Joe Rogan’s Nova and even a bit of serious health and family discussion, and learn a lot form a very driven and passionate designer and builder. If you’re looking for the ultimate kick in the pants to go and do your thing, this is your episode. Especially if you wear a man bun.

Throwing Back a few Torts with Chris Jacobs
The Gearheads take a few minutes to catch up with Chris Jacobs on episode twenty-five, and discuss his love for cars, involvement in the hobby, and the success of his TLC show Long Lost Family, which is gearing up for its fourth season. This one has bar exams (well one, actually), acting careers and even a plug for a high-powered telescope. It’s short on time, but long on value. Of some sort or another.

The Strange Thing Is…
Hot rod and custom builder, TV star and all-around good guy Tim Strange stops by to hang out with the Gearheads and talk cars, television shows, marketing, sponsorships, goat sex changes and more. We even explore the potential of hot rod fat camp and buffet syndrome, neither of which are related. Yeah, you won’t want to miss this one.

Life-Size Aunt Jemima: Song of the Hell’s Engles
The jolly Engle giants sit and talk cars, V8 go-karts, kandy-colored strollers and life-sized, anatomically-shaped bottles of maple syrup with the Gearheads here on episode seventeen. We started with good intentions, honestly we did. Alas, it’s an entertaining time with guys whose work has some serious range from Drag Week cars to Lowriders and everything in between. To top it all off, the recurring theme was inspiration, and it’s a beautiful thing in this episode.
