Power Tour Magnetism: Creating the Art
For the third year in a row, I have had the honor of creating the Long Haul Gang magnets given at each stop on the Hot Rod Power Tour. For 2019, I made it a personal mission to man the wheel on Creative Direction as well as producing the art, and at the risk of sounding like an overly-proud parent, this one raises the bar. Let’s tear into the artwork and see what makes it tick, and drop a few tips and tricks your way, too. I’m a giver.

Shredded Belts and a Howling Rear End
On episode fifty-eight, the Gearheads sit with Elana Scherr of Edmunds.com to talk careers in automotive journalism, daily driving a classic car in LA traffic, dogs, motorsports, engine swaps, and if you can believe it, more stuff as well. What does ninety-weight smell like when mixed with bananas? We ponder THAT, too. Barbara Walters has nothing on us.

Larry Erickson: Cadzilla and Other Things
Famed Automotive Designer Larry Erickson stops by The Round Six Experience at the 70th Grand National Roadster Show and talks design, hot rods, and Cadzilla, naturally. If you’ve ever wanted to know some of the inside stories, this one is for you.

The Hot Rod Magazine/In-N-Out Burger 70th Anniversary Show
Hot Rod Magazine and In-N-Out Burger celebrated their 70th Anniversary together with a huge celebration at the Auto Club Raceway in Pomona. The event turned out over 2000 cars, along with a full day of drag racing and plenty of great food provided by In-N-Out.

What’s Kuchen with Kevin Oeste of V8TV
Episode twenty-two brings one of our favorite people, Kevin Oeste to the show! The Gearheads finally nail the schedule and sit to talk about the hobby, youth involvement, the SEMA Show, YouTube, Muscle Car TV and coffee cake. It goes all over the place with a big purpose. There’s science, sex, Buicks… and even some flat Earth talk. Yeah, this is one for the books.

Getting Cheez Whiz-y With it… and Scott Sullivan, too
On episode twelve, the Gearheads sit and talk Pro Street, starting trends, trail mix and medieval weapons with hot rod builder and street machine legend Scott Sullivan. Other podcasts may have simply toed the line, but we jumped right over that thing and headed straight for Weirdville. Or Dayton. Whatever. It’s a fly-on-the-wall benchrace sort of thing for you, happy listener. We’ll even shut the bug zapper off this time.

Interview: Chad Reynolds Joins the Gearheads
In episode three, our good friend Chad Reynolds from Bangshift.com drops in for an interview-turned-benchracing session, and we talk about everything from chassis-swapped Tri-Five wagons to a Federal Grand Jury. And a whole heck of a lot more, too. This one has a little something for everyone. Even a pull-out couch.
