On a beautiful Saturday in the middle of September, world famous custom painter Billy B and the group at Pirates Cove Resort put together another amazing boat show. If you’re a huge fan of brightly painted, over powered and really loud boats that are less than 25 feet long, this is a show you really don’t want to miss. I was getting all four of my hairs cut, when the owner of the barber shop told me that she and her husband were watching the latest Transformers movie and she wanted to ask me a question. She said it looked like me in some of the extras footage and told her husband she thought it was. I kinda laughed a little and told her that yes it was me.
Everything I’ve ever built had to have a certain “look” by having the front a little lower and ALWAYS staggered front to rear tire sizes (because you can’t rotate cool!) and drive nice. Sitting level with even size tires is just too boring (plus a true car guy would NEVER rotate tires) for me and my fellow motorheads know exactly what I’m talking about.
A lot of people have asked me over the years how I ended up pinstriping at Cars Land, and how Disney ended up being blessed with (or stuck with, depending on who you ask) my “old pinstriping box” when it was all done, so I’ll do my best to explain.
For some, doing stoplight burnouts is fun and that’s all they need, so the idea of 500HP is the absolute max. When you have a car that embarrasses Italian sports cars for fun, then 550HP might be your max. For others a 1000HP and beyond are “maybe” the max.
